FORMER Generations actor Dini Nondumo might soon have the Red Ants knocking on his door if the rumours are anything to go by.
The 40-year-old actor has allegedly failed to keep up with rent instalments for his posh apartment in Bryanston, north of Joburg.
Dini, who’s best known for his role as nightclub manager Tendai on the now
defunct e.tv soapie Backstage, is allegedly R8 000 in arrears for the apartment he’s allegedly been living in for five years with his wife, Karabo Nondumo.
According to sources with intimate knowledge of the situation,, the actor has missed two payments already, over the last couple of months, prompting the landlord to threaten booting them out.
“His insurance business has lost a lot of clients over the past two years, plus his acting career has also taken a knock since he left Generations,” said our source, who’s also a former actor.
Our mole also added that the last time he coughed up R4 000 for his rent was in June and has been struggling ever since.
“On Friday, I walked in while he was arguing with the landlord, who was threatening to take legal action to evict him.”
He added that Dini turned to him for
financial help, but he couldn’t assist
because of his own debts.
“I would have really loved to help but I’m also dealing with my own financial distress,” he said.
Sunday Sun has been told Dini’s wife Karabo is an accountant, drives a luxury vehicle and is the sole breadwinner.
Dini denied renting an apartment and refused to comment further.
“Listen here, I don’t rent any apartment, let’s be clear,” he said before hanging up on the SunTeam.
He is the younger brother of popular businesswomen Stella Buthelezi, who was accused of swindling former Kaizer Chiefs captain Jimmy Tau of R2- million in a dubious business deal early this year.
