Orlando Pirates release Nigerian goalkeeper without playing a single match

The departure of Emmanuel Daniel from Orlando Pirates has been confirmed.

The Nigerian goalkeeper, who was signed by Pirates earlier this year, has left the club without having played any official matches. It was recently reported by the Siya crew that Daniel is one of the players that have been expected to be affected by changes taking place at Pirates.

Daniel is the second goalkeeper to leave Bucs during this transfer window, following the exit of Brighton Mhlongo who will appear in the colours of Chippa United this season.

Daniel’s exit from Bucs has been confirmed by the club’s head coach in a press conference today.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands will compete with the likes of Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane for the number one jersey at Bucs.
