12 PSL Players to play in 2017 AFCON hosted by Gabon

A total of 12 Absa Premiership players will be heading to Gabon for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Can you name them all?

The PSL will take a break from action until February, despite Bafana Bafana having failed to qualify for the tournament, with Mamelodi Sundowns expected to lose the most out of the 16 clubs.

A total of eight Zimbabweans have reported for duty in Harare, with Khama Billiat expected to arrive at camp any day now, while African-based CAF Player of the Year Denis Onyango will represent Uganda alongside Geofrey Massa.

SuperSport United’s Dove Wome failed to make Claude Le Roy’s final Togo squad for the tournament, therefore he will remain in South Africa for the duration of the tournament.

Similarly, Issa Sarr also won’t be representing his country after failing to get regular game time with Orlando Pirates so far this season, but his club teammate Edwin Gyimah will be sporting Ghana’s colours at AFCON 2017.

All 12 players are as follows:

Dennis Onyango – Uganda

Geofrey Massa – Uganda

Tendai Ndoro – Zimbabwe

Willard Katsande – Zimbabwe

Onismor Bhasera – Zimbabwe

Khama Billiat – Zimbabwe

Danny Phiri – Zimbabwe

Kudakwashe Mahachi – Zimbabwe

Cuthbert Malajila – Zimbabwe

Evans Rusike – Zimbabwe

Edwin Gyimah – Ghana

Issouf Paro – Burkina Faso
