Bloemfontein Celtics’ Kabelo Mahlasela’s star is on the rise. The attacking midfielder has put in some impressive performances this season to catch the eyes of many Celtic supporters.
The diminutive attacker is skillful, quick and tricky. He has caught the eye with his runs and crosses down the wing. Not many players have been impressive in the PSL this season, Mahlasela has been one of the few that have consistently put in good performances.
Against Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup, he showed that he can trouble defences and score goals too. He is far from being a finished product, but he has age on his side and will continue to improve. Mahlasela’s style of play is suited to both Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
He likes combining with other attacking players such as Dumisani Zuma, Musa Nyatama and Lyle Lakay. This suggests that Kaizer Chiefs would be the perfect team for him and would suit his style of play.
Mamelodi Sundowns, who have signed the most promising players in the past seasons, will also be looking to secure his services. Especially once either Chiefs or Pirates make a move, expect Sundowns to double the offer.
