Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs’ Shuffle says Benni should say no to coach Bafana Bafana

Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs star Jabu Mahlangu says Benni McCarthy shouldn’t coach Bafana Bafana.

Mahlangu believes taking the Bafana Bafana job could be the end of McCarthy’s coaching career.

Several local coaches have been tipped to replace Stuart Baxter in the national team after he resigned without warming.

Safa appointed Molefi Ntseki as the interim coach while they look for a permanent coach.

McCarthy was quoted as saying he would like to coach Bafana Bafana someday, however, Mahlangu believes it’s too early.

“I have heard a lot of people talking about Benni McCarthy to coach Bafana and it appears he wants the job‚” Mahlangu was quoted by SowetanLIVE.

“But if I was close to him‚ I would advise him to not to take the job because that responsibility could destroy him.

“I know the good job that he has done at Cape Town City and he definitely our coach for the future‚ but he is still a baby for Bafana.”
