Former Orlando Pirates winger Tlou Segolela is training with National First Division side Highlands Park with the hope of signing with the club.
Segolela worked with the Lions of the North’s coach Owen Da Gama at Pirates when the Limpopo-born man was playing for Orlando Pirates and is hoping to convince him to offer him a contract.
The former Orlando Pirates winger is currently without a club. The 29-year-old was last registered with Polokwane City but parted ways with the club at the end of last season.
He had been with the Limpopo outfit since January 2017. According to a source, Segolela would be keen to join Highlands Park, should the club want to sign him.
“Tlou Segolela is at Highlands Park. He is training with the team. He will be keen to sign if the club wants to add him to its current squad,” said the source.
Segolela has also been at Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars in his professional career, while he was recently linked with clubs in Malaysia and Thailand.
The speedy winger was released by Polokwane City last season, having joined them from Platinum Stars.
Highlands Park are currently occupying top spot on the NFD log table with 26 points after 13 games.
