Get to know Khaya Dladla AKA GC of Uzalo

Khaya Dladla was born and raised in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. He is a South African actor and also a singer. Khaya’s role on Uzalo potrays him as gay and a lot of his fans have been speculating about his sexuality. In reality GC is gay.

For his role on Uzalo GC said to our source “it was not an easy role, I had to learn a lot about gay people especially those who work in salon and I had to ask them a few questions so that I don’t make any mistakes while on set. I have struggled a lot to make sure my role has all the required information and acts”.

He has been a stage actor for 17 years. He made his television debut about 8 years ago. Khaya is a hard worker and he is also a dancer and a singer. He has played different roles apart from gay, he has been a cop, a gangster, a Nigerian, an Indian, and has managed to master those characters without any problems.

Khaya hates it when producers calls her for a role as gay and recently he has rejected those offers as he feels he has a lot to offer the industry than to always act as gay. Khaya does not want to earn money through his sexuality, he is very determined to spread her talent as an actor through talent and not because of him being gay. His role model is Somizi Mhlongo. Catch Khaya as GC on Uzalo from Mondays to Wednesdays on SABC 1 at 20h30.
