Lesley Musina who plays Ndalamo Mukwevho on Muvhango is one of the actors who have been with Muvhango for a longer period. Lesley is multilingual as he can speak almost all the languages in South Africa. He grew up in Nancefield, Musina where people speak a lot of languages because of people coming from different parts of the country coming to work in the mines in the area. His grandmother has lived in a few African countries and was also fluent in their languages.
Lesley has no formal acting in acting and that led to him spending almost nine years auditioning for being an actor in the country’s populated entertainment industry. He has only attended a few acting workshops around the country and that is where he taught himself about acting. He finally got his chance on TV when he was given a chance to present on a show called Mind the Gap back in 2009. After that he went on to get a role on Muvhango as Ndalamo Mukwevho.
Lesley has also acted on the new movie coming out soon called Man in Crisis. On the movie he is acting as a musician. It is also believed that Lesley will be replacing Dingaan Mokebe ka Khumalo on Speak Out as a presenter on the show although he still refuses to comment about that.
His character on Muvhango is of a royal family son who believes he is on top of everything and also think that he is more important than other people around him. He is still yet to find himself a lover and is often looking to steal other men’s wives and girlfriends. Ndalamo is the CEO of MMC Construction that is partly owned by the Mukwevho royal family and Khakhathi Mulaudzi (Macdonald Ndou) known as KK. Although he enjoys treating other people lowly, he receives the same treatment from KK all the time.
Catch Lesley Musina as Ndalamo on Muvhango weekdays at 21h00 on SABC 2.
