Get to know Lydia Mokgokoloshi AKA Koko Mantsha of Skeem Saam




Lydia Mokgokoloshi known as Koko Mantsha on SABC 1 soapie Skeem Saam is one of the legend actress in the South African entertainment industry. She was born 79 years ago in Botlokwa, Limpopo. She comes from a lovely family where she was raised with love and respect. Her love for the camera started long time ago while she was still working as a teacher in Soweto.

Lydia is famously known for her character in the then TV 3 soapie called Bophelo ke Semphekgo as Mma Nkosheng, which was aired in the 90s. Lydia has been in the industry long enough not to be given scripts to read, but to be told which role she will be doing during the shootings of her current role in Skeem Saam as Koko Mantsha.

Koko Mantsha’s role on Skeem Saam is to teach young people about life and to support them through their positive journeys in life. She loves everyone and does not have an enemy. Koko believes every human being deserves a lovely treatment. She is always there to support people around her in everything they do and mostly the things that lead to greatness.

Lydia is one of the elderly celebrities in the country and fans love her very much. Wherever she goes people call her Mma Nkosheng or Koko Mantsha. She loves the company of people and has enough time to take pictures with her fans and also to chat with them.
