Kaizer Chiefs identifies a goalkeeper to replace the outgoing Khuzwayo

Kaizer Chiefs could well have confirmed Oscarine Masuluke’s presence at the club by accident…

The Siya crew reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma that no time frame had been put on the former Baroka goalkeeper’s training spell at Naturena, however, there has been no official confirmation of him arriving there by anybody at the club.

It is thought that Chiefs are looking at Masuluke as a potential replacement for Brilliant Khuzwayo in case he leaves when his contract expires at the end of the season, though Itumeleng Khune remains their undisputed number one.

Despite the lack of confirmation, Chiefs did tweet a picture of the team in training earlier this week, and a player looking remarkably like the former Puskas Award nominee and can be seen in the background.

Masuluke could have some sort of feedback this week with regards to Steve Komphela and Lee Baxter’s thoughts on him, although the timing of his Bakgaga means that, regardless of whether he has impressed, he will only be able to be registered for next season anyway.
