Lehlohonolo Majoro’s next move

Lehlohonolo Majoro is one of the best strikers in the country. Looking at him not being able to prove what he is worth is very painful. We all know that when given enough chance he can score goals each and every game, but so far he is only afforded a few minutes in the field of play.

The striker is in the books of Cape Town City Football Club currently and it seems he will be part of the players that will be releasing at the end of the season. If released, where should he go to further his football career? The answer is simple, he should go to a team that will be able to afford him game time. There are a lot of teams that can provide him with enough playing time. Maybe the NFD will be suitable for him.

Majoro was once a Kaizer Chiefs FC striker and was released due to lack of game time in the Chiefs squad. What seems to be the problem with Major? The answer is simple, he is not being given enough chance to play. We all know that if he is given enough time to play, he can score goals and that is what we all want as fans.

Orlando Pirates signed him with the hope that he will provide the team with goals to win competitions and the league, but the man scored in almost every game that he played. To our surprise he was benched without a valid reason. He provided Pirates with enough goals while playing alongside Kermit Erasmus, before Kermit’s departure for Europe. They were scoring goals each and every game. How Tinkler benched him is still a mystery question that no one will ever be able to answer, but Tinkler himself although he is no longer the coach of Orlando Pirates.

Our only hope as South African football followers was for Muhsin Ertugral to give enough chance to Lehlohonolo before offloading him to other teams. The man is a proven goal scorer and he has all the qualities to be Pirates’ target man for up to 4 seasons from now.

Muhsin Ertugral is a coach who gives players enough chance to prove their worth. Who would believe Collins Mbesuma would be the leading goal scorer again in the Premier Soccer League (PSL)? Muhsin gave Mbesumba the chance to prove himself and Mbesuma used his chance very well, so it was the time for Majoro to be given the chance to score goals at Pirates. This is one aspect about Muhsin that is very interesting although he is considered bad by the South African media when it comes to players’ management.

South Africa is struggling to get enough depth of strikers who can score goals. The top goal scorers in the PSL are foreigners most of the time. Since the death of strikers like Lesley Manyathela, we have struggled to find suitable natural goal scorers in the country. Majoro is the answer currently when looking at the available natural strikers. The rest of the strikers we have in the country are average.
