Luvuyo Memela says times are tough at the top of the PSl table

An Orlando Pirates star has described the second round of the season as the tough phase of the campaign, with the team attempting to win the Absa Premiership title, while also wanting to do well in the CAF Champions League.

Following their 4-1 win over AmaZulu last Saturday, Bucs will have a match against another KwaZulu-Natal team in Golden Arrows next Saturday, before having to go back to Orlando to face Bloemfontein Celtic on Tuesday in another league match.

With the matches coming thick and fast for the Buccaneers, Luvuyo Memela is worried that the schedule could prove to be demanding for the team as they go along.

“We are entering a tough phase of the season. We are competing in two competitions, the league and the Champions League, this is going to put a lot of strain on the team which is why it will be important for all players to be available for selection,” Memela told Pirates’ official website.

Memela netted one of the goals for Bucs against Usuthu to help the team to move back to second place on the PSL log.

“On a personal level, I am looking forward to the coming matches. Hopefully, injuries are now a thing of the past for me… now I can focus on helping my team register the positive results in the coming games,” added the midfielder.
