Brazilian striker, Nathan Júnior is believed to have turned out for Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.
Sundowns were crowned 2018 Mangosuthu Legacy Cup champions this weekend after defeating AmaZulu FC 2-1 in the competition.
According to the starting line-up issued on AmaZulu’s official Twitter account, Sundowns’ Brazilian trialist, Junior made his way into the starting 11, with indications that Head Coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team wanted a closer look at the player before making a decision about offering him a deal.
As reported last week by the Siya crew, Sundowns are in no rush to add the player to their books, as he is believed to be a free agent, not bound by the transfer window.
The Brazilians have one more spot left on their foreign quota and it remains to be seen whether they will look to add Junior to fill the quota.
In addition, it was confirmed on Friday that Nedbank Ke Yona team player, Karabo Mookamedi arrived at the Chloorkop-based club where he will begin his training stint with the team under the watchful eye of Mosimane and his technical bench.
