Following Mamelodi Sundowns’ heated encounter with Orlando Pirates, Pitso Mosimane had some kind words for Milutin Sredojevic, who he feels is one of the best coaches in Africa,
Sundowns and the Buccaneers played to a goalless encounter at Loftus on Saturday afternoon, although the game will be remembered for the touchline scuffle.
Despite the first-half scuffle, Mosimane insists there is no bad blood between himself and Micho.
“I have big respect for Micho. I come far with Micho. I know Micho for the last 15 years, Micho has helped me a lot,” the Serbian told SuperSport after the game.
“He was my encyclopedia when I was recruiting players at SuperSport United to the extent that he helped get Denis Onyango [at SuperSport United]. You see Denis Onyango here it’s Micho who helped me.
“Micho is one of the top five coaches in Africa. We come from far with them. All these small things and mind games they don’t mean a lot. Micho has won Championships, we’ve won Championships. We’re too bigger than small petty things.”
