Mamelodi Sundowns’ players that are leaving

Mamelodi Sundowns have already parted ways with two of their players ahead of the transfer window and Soccer Laduma takes a look at players who could still leave during the upcoming transfer window.

Both Asavela Mbekile and Thabo Nthethe have officially left Sundowns, joining up with Orlando Pirates and Chippa United respectively and it seems likely that a few others could also make an exit.

Percy Tau:

Although Sundowns would love to hold onto the player’s services, Tau is currently being heavily linked with a move to Europe, although anything official may only be confirmed in the upcoming July/August transfer window.

Khama Billiat:

It is also no secret that Sundowns still want to have Billiat on their books in the new season, however, the player will see his contract come to an end this month, June 30.

Lucky Mohomi:

As reported previously by Soccer Laduma, Mohomi is being linked with a move away from Sundowns, with a potential loan deal away from the Chloorkop-based club currently on the cards for the new season.

Anthony Laffor:

Laffor is being linked with a move to both SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs, with sources recently revealing to the Siya crew that the Liberian could be leaving Masandawana in the upcoming weeks.

Thela Ngobeni:

The goalkeeper will return to the Chloorkop-based club when the team reports for pre-season training, with his loan spell with Free State Stars coming to an end on June 30.

Ngobeni still has one more year left on his contract, although a permanent move away from Sundowns could materialise in the coming weeks.

Sibusiso Kumalo:

Kumalo hasn’t played a single fixture for Sundowns in the 2017/18 campaign and has previously been linked with an exit. It remains to be seen whether a move away from the club will materialise in the coming weeks.

Brimah Razak:

The Ghanaian goalkeeper was previously linked with an exit from Sundowns, as the Brazilians are looking to reshuffle their foreign quota spots to make space for Guinea-Bissau winger.

With just over two weeks to go before the July/August transfer window, it remains to be seen which players will be released by Sundowns.
