New updates in the new season of the Premier Soccer League (PSL)

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) season has just began last month and a lot of things have happened with some teams losing their games and others drawing and winning theirs. With a lot of players who are not registered with any team in the league, they are eligible to be registered only if there are free to join any team. Only players who are registered with other teams and would like to move to other teams are not allowed to register at this period, they will have to wait for the transfer window to open again in January. Let us look at the latest happenings in the league.

PSL games tonight and tomorrow are as follows:

  • Bidvest Wits will be facing Polokwane City tonight in a league game. They will be without Moneeb Josephs and Xola Mlambo. Their coach Gavin Hunt is not under any pressure at all, he is taking each game that comes his way normally.
  • Mark Mayambela is ready to make his debut for Ajax Cape Town against Orlando Pirates tonight. Mayambela was signed by Ajax alongside Lebokgang Mokoena. The match will be played at the Cape Town Stadium and fans are expecting to watch an interesting game between the 2 teams.
  • Platinum stars will be facing Kaizer Chiefs in a league game tomorrow night. Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson is expected to make changes in for tomorrow’s encounter with the struggling Amakhosi side. The changes will be in defense where they conceded a soft goal against Chippa United.
  • Felipe Ovono might be facing his exit at Orlando Pirates as he failed to help the team in their last 2 games as he conceded soft goals that let the team down. His future is unclear at Pirates.
  • Lerato Manzini of Chippa United has been ruled out for 6 weeks following his injury last week. David Zulu is expected to take Lerato’s position in their next game against Supersport United tomorrow.
  • Wydad Casablanca striker Ibrahima Sory Keita might be signed by Supersport United as he decided to leave the Moroccan side.
  • Leonardo Castro has been given time off by Sundowns to be with his family in Columbia after the player suffered an injury 2 weeks ago.
  • Issa Sarr has failed to make an 18 man squad that will face Ajax tonight. It seems Sarr will have to spend a lot of time in the stands under Muhsin Ertugral.
