Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has commented on the altercation with the supporter who made his way into the Buccaneers’ technical area.
There was a lot of hype surrounding Pirates’ clash with Mamelodi Sundowns, but it was the off-field issues that took centre stage on Saturday afternoon.
A supporter managed to get over the fence and run into the technical area where he attempted to confront Rulani Mokwena.
“I have nothing to comment. It is really unfortunate that my brother Rhulani [Mokwena] has given part of his football life to Mamelodi Sundowns and one fan is coming with the intention to attack him.
“I’d like to believe that is one individual not an institution Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates. We have the respect in the technical bench. We have respect between the players. It was a tough match, we were lighting our hearts with fire representing our institutions and supporters.
“I believe it was a good game. That was a just a drop in the good things we have seen today,” he said.
