Orlando Pirates’number one fan Dejan Miladinovic says they will not lose to Baroka FC in the final of the Telkom Knockout Cup on Saturday evening.
The Ghost faithful believes their experience in cup matches will come through, indicating that they won’t undermine Bakgaga.
“Yeah, look the final is a match between two teams, the other one is big and the other one is small. Baroka came from nowhere to be in the final, but we are ready to make sure we win the game 2-0,” Miladinovic told our source.
“We want to be champions and we will have to seal a win as early as possible so that we are comfortable – I have faith in the team and in the coach that we will lift the trophy,” he said.
The Serbian supporter reckons beating Kaizer Chiefs twice in all competitions this season should serve as a warning to the Limpopo-based side.
Pirates defeated Amakhosi 2-1 in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), before securing another via the same scoreline in the semi-finals of the TKO Cup tournament.
“Yes, of course, we are favourites because we beat Chiefs twice and that was not a fluke. In fact, three times in one year, that shows the quality at Pirates and we want to win this one,” he claimed.
“We have that pressure to win things because it’s been a while and the players must show the character and ensure they win supporters,” he admitted.
“They are not doing it for themselves, but for the fans who always travelling around the country to watch them play,” urged the Serbian.
Speaking of coach Wedson Nyirenda’s men who beat the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and ex-TKO Cup champions, Bidvest Wits to book a spot in the final, ‘Mlungu’ said they are not expecting a shocking result at the iconic venue.
“I don’t think they can shock us, but football is like that. You know the small teams when they play against the big guns, but Pirates is very well prepared,” he continued.
“On top of that, we have experience of playing in cup finals. I have respect for Baroka as a team, but they are not used to playing in cup finals and we will beat them on Saturday,” concluded the Bucs supporter.
