Orlando Pirates players facing a loan move away from the team

Orlando Pirates have hinted at some of the players who will be remaining at the club at the end of the season amidst speculation over their futures.

Among the players who were speculated to leave the club at the end of the season in search of game-time elsewhere was Bucs young striker Lyle Foster.

Despite having shown glimpses of his potential the 17-year-old hitman has only managed nine league appearances with one start and a single goal. Foster was among the players set to leave the club to amass some much-needed game time possibly at a National First Division club, however, the Soweto giants have affirmed that the former youth development product is going nowhere.

“He is a product of the club and any experience Foster needs he will get here,” said Pirates Administrative Officer Floyd Mbele.

“Foster enjoys a good relationship with our coaches which is key to his progress and development. The club wants to keep him and help him grow as a player and this is the place best for that,” added Mbele.

In January the Buccaneers sent out the likes of veteran defender Ayanda Gcaba and Riyaad Norodien on loan. Other youthful players who have been struggling for game-time include Yusuf Maart, Lehlohonolo Mtshali and recently promoted Siphumelele Mbulu, with the club yet to give official word on their respective futures.
