Orlando Pirates have parted ways with yet another player ahead of the new season.
The Soweto giants have made a number of changes to their squad ahead of the July/August transfer window, making up to eight new signings while also parting ways with the likes of Brighton Mhlongo and Ayanda Gcaba.
It has since been confirmed to the Siya crew that the Buccaneers have since agreed to the termination of Mahlatsi Makudubela’s contract.
The player’s representative, Miguel Paiva from Luso Africa confirmed the news to the Siya crew by saying, “Orlando Pirates and Mahlatsi Makudubela have mutually agreed to amicably part ways ahead of the new season. We are currently assessing the player’s options and where his next destination will be.”
The 28-year-old was on loan with Chippa United in the 2017/18 season, where he was set to return to Pirates on June 30, however, it has since been confirmed that he will no longer continue on their books for the new season.
Pirates are expected to make more official announcements about incoming and outgoing players in the coming weeks.
