With Orlando Pirates expected to welcome Bloemfontein Celtic’s Kabelo Dlamini as one of the club’s new signings for new season, some players in coach Milutin Sredojevic’s current squad could be affected by the player’s arrival at the Soweto giants.
As reported, the Buccaneers have had their sights on Dlamini, with a view to add him to the team for the new season, following his impressive performances for Celtic in recent seasons.
Indications are that the midfielder’s move from Siwelele to Bucs is as good as done, with the parties expected to confirm the deal in due course.
Dlamini, 23, is an attacking midfielder who is also able to play on the wing. Judging by last season’s statistics, where some players did not enjoy regular game-time at Bucs, Dlamini’s arrival could hamper the chances of certain players at at the Soweto giants in the new season.
The players likely to be affected by Dlamini’s signing include Kudakwashe Mahachi, Mpho Makola, Meshack Maphangule, Linda Mntambo and Thabo Qalinge.
The Buccaneers will be expected to part ways with some of their players before the start of the new season, as the club is set to make some big decisions on the current squad.
