Abbubaker Mobara has not signed a new deal at Orlando Pirates, and while he approaches the last season of his current contract, two PSL outfits are keeping a close eye on his situation.
The Bucs utility player, and Bafana Bafana international, will enter into the last year of his contract with Bucs in July and while Siya sources have indicated that he has not signed a new extension, Mamelodi Sundowns have joined Bidvest Wits in the chase for his signature.
Mobara was appointed as the vice-captain at Pirates ahead of the 2017/18 season, though featured in only 13 league fixtures under Coach Milutin Sredojevic, this was largely due to an injury that kept him sidelined for a period of time.
Bucs could look to strike a deal during the July/August transfer window, and avoid losing the player on a free next year, with talks of a swap deal being muted in the corridors.
Ben Motshwari has been heavily linked with a move to Pirates, while a number of Downs players were linked to Bucs last year, including the likes of Asavela Mbekile.
