An outgoing Orlando Pirates defender has sent an emotional message to the supporters, following the club’s confirmation of his release.
The Buccaneers confirmed yesterday (Monday) that they have parted ways with Marc van Heerden. As confirmed by the Soweto giants, the 30-year old player’s contract has been terminated, following the club’s meeting with his representatives last week.
Van Heerden has taken to his official Twitter account to thank Bucs’ supporters for their support during his time with the club.
“I would just like to say thank you to Orlando Pirates for the time I was at the club. A big thank you especially to all the Pirates supporters for your continued support. I have a lot of football left in me and hope to showcase that to all my fans,” tweeted Van Heerden.
