SAFA and PSL to take games to Northern Cape Province

The Northern Cape Province is one of 9 provinces in South Africa. Currently the province is the only province without a professional team that participates in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and the national First Division (NFD).

The Northern Cape has a lot of people who loves sports. A lot of people in the province are supporters of Orlando Pirates FC and Kaizer Chiefs FC. The supporters’ are very passionate about soccer.

The problem in Northern Cape is that the province is yet to establish a team that is supposed to represent the province in the PSL and/or NFD. The football fans in the province feel left out of the game they love. Something must be done regarding establishing a professional soccer team in the province.

South African Football Association and the Premier Soccer League must seat down and make arrangements for some of the matches to be played in the Northern Cape Province. At least a game or two in each six months period will be enough for a start. They must come up with a plan that will make the people of the province feel accommodated by the football fraternity as they are still awaiting a chance to have their own tem from the province to represent then in the Premier Soccer League or the National First Division.

Our beautiful game of football is supposed to be spread all over the provinces of South Africa. People are waiting to watch their best players in action. SAFA must make a decision regarding spreading games all over the country. This should also help rebuilding our national team Bafana Bafana. The team needs full support all over the countries.

Northern Cape is one of the provinces where this plan should start. One of the reason stadiums are not full when our national team and other PSL teams are playing is because, people in Gauteng are used to watch these games every week and they are no longer prompted to watch the beautiful game and it is discouraging for our players to play in empty stadiums.

Other provinces like the Eastern Cape are also hungry to host the beautiful game. It is up to the marketers of the game to decide whether they would like to increase the supporters in stadiums. For them to get full support of South African soccer lovers, they must take the game to the people, people should not look for the game it must be in front of their homes.

The sponsors must force the game to be spread if SAFA and PSL are not doing anything about it. They are the ones who are advertising and they must advertise to all South Africans.

Northern Cape can no longer wait anymore, this must be done if possible in the 2016/2017 season. I hope this message gets to the administrators of both the PSL and SAFA so that they will be able to implement these suggestion. The football game is the game of people and people are ready out there. They must stop focusing in provinces where people are used to watch the game all the time.

  1. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Genuinely rarely should i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail about the head. Your idea is outstanding; the problem is an element that insufficient persons are speaking intelligently about. I am delighted we came across this during my look for something with this.
