South African player lifts the league title in Europe

Dino Ndlovu is almost guaranteed to finish the 2016/17 season as his club’s top scorer and he will be in good spirits after lifting the league trophy this weekend.
The 27-year-old scored a brace – his 13th and 14th of the season, last weekend in the game that clinched the Azerbaijan Premier League title for Qarabag and played 75 minutes on Sunday as they extended their lead by another three points.
Ndlovu, who has scored 21 goals since the start of 2016, still has a shot at winning the league’s Golden Boot award this season, although would need a hattrick against Neftçi on Saturday while hoping that Filip Ozobic doesn’t score for Qabala.
The forward is comfortably South Africa’s top scorer over the last couple of seasons as he continually found the net for both Anorthosis Famagusta and Qarabag and there will no doubt have been some interest shown in him given his performances.
