Things you did not know about Shoki Sebotsane AKA Celia Kunutu

Shoki was born and raised in Tzaneen, Limpopo. Her acting career includes a role in a mini-series called ‘Shakespeare in Mzansi’ where she was given a role of Grace Lerothodi. She also had a role in a drama series called ‘Mfolozi Street’. She also had a few theatre roles in theatre productions. Shoki also had a role as Tumi in Muvhango which is aired weekdays on SABC 2 at 21h00.

Shoki is a family woman and is married to Sello Sebotsane and they have 2 daughters. She went to Prudens Secondary School in Soweto to complete her matric and went on to Finland’s Tampere University of Technology.

She landed her role on Skeem Saam as Celia Kunutu, a mother of the notorious Rachel Kunutu and a step mother to Nimrod Kunutu. She faces a lot of life struggles in her role and she is a determined woman who believes everything happens for a reason in life. Celia is a very strong woman as she faces people like Charles Kunutu who is always talking about Ben Kunutu his late brother who was Celia’s husband.
