Tlou Segolela is currently training with Orlando Pirates Football Club after being released by Platinum Stars Football Club at the end of 2015/2016 PSL season. He has been training with Pirates for a while now and he is looking good.
Segolela is training alongside Lebokgang Mokoena, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Yasser Mugwera, Manti Mekoa and Siphamandla Sangweni. These players are training under the guidance of Pirates’ development head coach Augusto Palacios. It is believed these players are only training with Pirates to keep fit.
Pirates will be playing over the weekend at the Dr. Hage Geingob Cup in Windhoek, Namibia. The other team from South Africa will be Mamelodi Sundowns.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have handed defender Thamsanqa Mkhize a contract termination letter to bring an end to his brief spell at Mayfair. Mkhize signed for Pirates at the beginning of last month straight after the expiry of his contract at Maritzburg United, but his deal with The Bucs was suddenly scrapped after indications that Coach Muhsin Ertugral was not keen on him.
Sfiso Myeni might stay with the buccaneers as negotiations are still underway with the midfielder. Myeni and Segolela were vital in Pirates winning double treble 2 to 3 seasons ago. Both players are still available to play for Pirates if given a chance by the technical team.
Millions of Pirates fans questioned the decision to put Myeni on transfer list last month. Myeni has all the experience and talent to win trophies with Pirates. Pirates’ loyal fans are also asking the reasons to dismantle the whole team like the way Muhsin is doing. They feel like Muhsin is trying to destroy Pirates like the way he did Kaizer Chiefs before he was shown the door.
